At SPEAK ACADEMY, we believe that education should be meaningful, future-focused, and deeply human. Early Years: Speakstar (Belveder Campus)

Children begin their education at our early years campus in Belveder – Speakstar, a nurturing, family-type environment where learning is rooted in relationships, curiosity, and play. At this stage, children are immersed in a natural bilingual programme, learning Slovak and English side by side through everyday communication, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Language acquisition happens organically. Children are not taught English through memorisation or isolated lessons, but by using both languages as tools for real communication. This approach mirrors the way bilingual families around the world raise fluent speakers and allows children to develop strong language foundations alongside confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

 

Our early years programme focuses on the whole child. Through carefully structured activities, children develop early literacy and numeracy, motor skills, social competence,emotional awareness, and self-expression, all within a safe and inspiring environment that respects each child’s individuality.

Primary Years: SPEAK ACADEMY (Kuzmányho Campus)

As children grow, their learning continues seamlessly at the SPEAK ACADEMY campus on Kuzmányho Street. Thanks to a shared philosophy, aligned curriculum, and close collaboration between campuses, students experience a smooth and confident transition into the lower primary years, without disruption to their learning, language development, or sense of belonging.

The primary programme builds on the strong foundations established in early years, gradually deepening academic rigour while maintaining creativity, inquiry, and student engagement. Bilingual education remains at the heart of learning, supporting students to use both Slovak and English confidently across subjects.

While our educational journey begins at age 3, students are welcome to join SPEAK ACADEMY at any age and at any stage of their bilingual journey. We proudly welcome learners from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and language experiences.

 

Whether a child is encountering English for the first time or is already bilingual, our experienced teaching team provides individualised support to ensure a smooth integration into school life. New students are guided academically, socially, and emotionally, helping them build confidence, form friendships, and feel a strong sense of belonging within our community.
